Yana a singer/songwriter based in Brno (Czech Republic) with strong ties to Ireland.

“Ireland is my home away from home, my happy place. All my recordings happen there and most of my performances as well. I write songs that can be described as atmospheric folk with Celtic influences, songs with deeper meaning, which goes down to my influences – Interference, Mic Christopher, Glen Hansard or Cloud Cult.”

Yana released her debut EP ‘Distant Shore’ in 2020 and is currently working on her debut album which is set to be released in 2023. ‘Funeral of Life’ is the third single from her debut album.

“The song is about adapting to changes and everything life throws at you.”

‘The arrangement and its oriental vibe is very different from anything I have done to date. It presents a surprise for the listeners but experimenting is part of what we artists do.”

“There is excitement, without doubt. And also curiosity to see what the response to the track is gonna be like. However, I feel that as an independent artist, you are starting from scratch with every release. Every song is different and resonates with people differently.”

‘Funeral of Life’ is out 21st September. A pre-save is available.
