New Release – One Step Behind by Dan Thomas

Dan Thomas is a singer-songwriter with an alt-rock twist living in Bedfordshire (UK). Believing in the beauty of simplicity, Dan is a songwriter who likes to show people that anyone can write and play music. Singing in local rock and metal bands in his teens and twenties, Dan never believed he had what it took to play an instrument and write music.

After growing frustrated with managing band schedules, Dan finally went out on his own in 2016, first playing covers and then finding the courage to write his own songs, starting with ‘You Make Lovin’ Easy‘, a song written for his wife for their wedding day.

Combining simple songwriting with a powerful vocal performance, Dan believes “if you have a good ear for a melody and something to say, then you can write songs”.

The final single of his EP is out on all platforms on April 15th. The song is already available on Bandcamp. It’s an indie rock sounding singer songwriter piece with synths and three part harmonies.

“I wrote this song after I had recently taken a new job a few years ago. I remember thinking at the time that if I could just earn a little bit more money then life would be perfect. I took a new job that came with a big pay rise, but I soon found out that it wasn’t everything it was cracked up to be.”

“I then wrote this song about all the times in our lives where we think that, if just one little thing could change, we could be happy, only to find out that that thing doesn’t make you happy.”
