New Release – Hurricane by Rī Wolf with Carmen Bruno

After spending the last 14 years as a collegiate track and field coach in Texas and almost 9 years away from music, Rī Wolf is bursting back into the music scene with a Grass Roots Americana sound reminiscent of a West Texas Troubadour making his way back home.

For his upcoming release ‘Hurricane’ Rī Wolf teamed up with Carmen Bruno, the lead singer of the emerging Americana band Trailerhawk.

“I was very excited when Carmen decided she would join me in this song. I definitely wanted to write and produce a driving Americana Country song and I felt that Carmen’s vocal would be just perfect for what I was trying to achieve. I sent her an acoustic demo and she just knocked the vocal out of the park.”

“Bryan Daste who played pedal steel on the song shows his brilliance once again. He truly has a pulse of what a song needs…no more, no less.”

“The song originated as a story about how I met my wife. I was playing a show in Amarillo, TX at the Golden Light Cafe. I was on break and she was there with a bunch of friends..she basically came up to me, told me she was going to marry me one day and then ran out of the venue with her friends. I was stunned and thought I’d never see or hear from her again, but a mutual friend who knew her actually got in touch with me a couple weeks later and got us in touch with each other.”

“Either way the song is about that scenario when certain people come through your life, turn it upside down and then are gone in a flash…luckily for me I kept my wife around!!”

“This will be my first ever single released on Texas country and Americana radio. I really hope it can reach a broad range of listeners and open some new doors for me and connect me to a broader fan base. I think it’s a song that many can relate to.”

Hurricane’ will be out on 18th February. It’ll be one of a new 6 song EP titled ‘Elemental’ set to be released in Spring 2022.
