New Release – Strawberry Fields (EP) by Rī Wolf

After an almost 8 year hiatus from music, Rī Wolf is returning with what some call a “genre agnostic” sound that’s rooted in great songwriting, unforgettable melodies and rugged authenticity. With a mix of soul, blues, country and pop, Rī brings these elements together for a unique, but familiar sound laced with intriguing, heartfelt lyrical content.

Rī will release his EP ‘Strawberry Fields’ on 8th October.

“I decided to put together a collection of songs that I feel represents who I am as an artist and really highlights the musical genres and styles that I’ve been influenced by my whole career. Lyrically and melodically you can hear traces of Amos Lee and John Mayer, but you can also hear artists like Chris Stapleton, Ryan Adams, Stevie Ray Vaughn who influence the composition and style. I feel like it’s a balanced mash up of Blues, Americana, Country and Soul.”

“I record everything here in my home studio, so that has its challenges, but I also find it nice simply because I can control the environment. I was also able to work with some outstanding artists who recorded parts on a few of the tracks so that can always take some time to work out, but they did an amazing job and really brought a lot to the EP.”

“In total it’s taken about 6 months to narrow down and fine tune the demos and songs and really find the style I was going for.”

“Ultimately I hope that this EP is a true representation of what kind of artist I am and what I am capable of. I hope it gives me further reach and ability to connect with more fans, and I hope it resonates with those who have followed and supported me for so long now.”
