Is this release different from your previous releases?
“Yes, this time we had the amazing Dave “Rave” Ogilvie @rabbitwithhorns (of Skinny Puppy fame) produce, which was an amazing and way louder experience! He has worked with so many amazing artists over the years including David Bowie, Queen, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Carly Rae Jepson, 54-40, Queensryche, Men without Hats, Sloan, Ministry, SNFU, The Grapes of Wrath, Motley Crue & more, so we were extraordinarily lucky to get the opportunity to work with him. The experience was absolutely amazing.”
Where was it recorded and mixed?
“Hipposonic Studios, formerly Little Mountain Studios, where everyone, including Aerosmith, Dave Grohl, Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, James Brown, Metallica, Bon Jovi, The Cult, David Lee Roth, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Selena Gomez, Skinny Puppy, Wu-Tang Clan, K-OS, KISS, Colin Linden, Colin, James, Macy Gray, Tegan & Sarah, & Lauren Hill has recorded. It is always magical to record there as you can feel the history embedded in the walls – not to mention you can still see the remnants of David Lee Roth’s rock-climbing wall literally embedded in the back wall!”
When releasing a new single is there a sense of excitement or panic?
“Both! Haha! It’s so exciting to release your baby into the world, but there is always the panic because there is soooo much to do that you always feel like you’re forgetting something.”
