Lajze is Polish/British singer-songwriter and music composer with an affinity for experimental trip-hop and electronica with a signature ethereal ambience that lures in with tantalising lyrics atop a simple but effective instrumental that lacks no grandeur. Sensual vocals and bold lyrics sums up her style. ‘Mine‘ was her first EP that came out in 2020. Her second EP ‘Red Sea‘ will be released on 20th March.
“The song ‘Red Sea’ is a confession of a woman. Fearless and confident with her body and sexuality, she is not afraid to tell the man she loves, what are her likes, needs and kinks. Bold, clear message, no hints, no guessing, she says: “I love to smell you on me, bring me close, hug me till I’m senseless”. She wants him to know that she trusts him and that she is open for anything. It’s about lust, desire but most importantly – honesty in a relationship.”
“All my songs are very private. I write about how I feel, the passion within that’s oozing to come out. It’s like a musical diary. My relationship is my main source of inspiration. I like to play with words, but also I want to show that woman can openly talk about and express her sexuality without being abrupt. This particular song started as a phrase that came to me one day when I was out and about. This phrase is now a part of the chorus of that song.”
“The artwork is a picture of myself and my man that we have taken some time ago. As it was in redcolour and featured him – my fire and inspiration behind the lyrics, I thought it’s perfect. It is that kind of picture that expresses the sensual vibe behind the whole EP.”
